The California Environmental Voters Education Fund announced today that California State Assemblymember Ash Kalra (CA-27) will join the organization’s Board of Directors. “I am honored to join the EnviroVoters Ed Fund Board of Directors, particularly at a time when our state needs to deepen its commitment to fighting the climate crisis,” said Assemblymember Kalra.
The California Environmental Voters Education Fund today responded to draft maps from the California Citizens Redistricting Commission (CCRC). “To put it plainly, these draft maps are a mess,” said Sam Sukaton, Redistricting Coordinator, California Environmental Voters Education Fund, who presented to the Commission in October.
The organization formerly known as The California League of Conservation Voters today launched their new name, California Environmental Voters. The name California Environmental Voters (EnviroVoters) more accurately represents the evolution of the organization’s mission: to build the power to solve the climate crisis, advance justice, and create a global roadmap for action.
EnviroVoters Ed Fund exists to radically advance climate policy and legislation by promoting greater civic participation, shifting public opinion, and educating the public and legislators.
