Polling Shows California Voters Believe Climate Change Has Become More Severe

As Californians grapple with worsening wildfires, drought, extreme heat, and pollution, California’s role as a climate leader for the nation and world is called into question.

New polling that the California Environmental Voters Education Fund conducted with partner organizations confirms that our communities are demanding bold policies that will accelerate our progress towards the state’s climate goals.

The results are telling and closely mirror recent headlines: the majority of California voters not only believe that climate change is real (63%), but also notice the effects of climate change have become more severe (73%).
